Current Research Interests: As a burgeoning scholar studying rhetorical theory and criticism, I am interested in the rhetoric of self-care as a possible theoretical basis for ethical dialogic and scholarly practices. To broaden my ethical understanding of these practices, I am studying theories of otherly engagement while considering the limits of language and epistemologies. Further, I am exploring the rhetorical possibilities made available through affective engagement and acknowledged attachment with objects. All of this to say, I am interested in understanding how the way we care for ourselves connects with and informs not only how we care for others but also objects, artifacts, environments, and just about anything that makes up our experiencing the world.
