Katie E. Bradford (Ph.D., The University of Texas at Austin, 2020) teaches undergraduate courses in communication theory and practices. She trains her students to become introspective about their own perceptions and communication, and to develop excellent spoken and written communication skills for success beyond the classroom. Outside of the classroom, Dr. Bradford analyzes video-based data to explain how people integrate smartphone use into face-to-face conversations. Trained in scholarly publishing, she is a professional editor who has collaborated with authors on their scholarly manuscripts and overseen the development of college textbooks (for Pearson Education). Dr. Bradford holds a B.A. in English from UT-Austin, and an M.A. in English Linguistics and a Certificate in Scholarly Publishing from Arizona State University, and an ACUE Certificate in Effective College Instruction.
