Texas Forensics traces its origins back to 1883, for over 140 years, we have been training students in the art of speech and debate. Since 1947, Texas has been involved in formal speech and debate tournaments with great success. Learn More About Our History
Repeat Champions
Open to any student at UT Austin, the Texas Speech and Texas Debate programs consistently win team and individual championships at the regional and national levels. In 2025, Texas Speech won its fourth consecutive American Forensic Association national team title.
