Current research interests: I am interested in language and nonverbal communication; communication regarding mortality; communication effects of events occurring in youth (e.g., post-traumatic stress, parental overconfiding in children, critical or depressed parenting); communication challenges in romantic dyads regarding platonic relationships; communication within mass transit modes.
Outside hobbies & interests: Playing the cello, attending movies, meeting friends for coffee, weightlifting, running, and sleeping.
What you think makes UT or Austin unique, cool, or "weird": I enjoy the diversity of Austin; there is a place for everyone here. The weather is wacky: 80 degrees and 50 degrees in one afternoon.
