Current research interests: My research interests are varied and include family, relational, and health communication. The central theme that exists in all of my research is the investigation of interpersonal relationships during and after a crisis occurs. I am particularly interested in how families, relational partners, and health care providers engage in difficult conversations and overcome relational transgressions or traumatic events.
