Debate Team Travel

In order to travel with the UT Debate Program, students will be required to fill out the following documents:

• A medical form, which will only need to be filled out once for the school year.

• A release and indemnification document needs to be filled out and returned to the coach in charge before each trip.

Coaches need to download a hotel/motel exemption certificate prior to travel.

Students and coaches need to read the Student Travel Policy for University-Organized or Sponsored Events prior to traveling with the program.

Students selected to attend a trip but who are unable to attend for circumstances within their control must repay the cost of their ticket to the team.

Students and coaches must sign for food money.

Coaches must turn in receipts for trips and any balance due within one week if the travel advance is not in your name. If the advance is in your name, receipts and the balance due, if any, must be returned by the date on the promissory note.

The UT Debate program will not reimburse for any alcoholic beverages.

Students wishing to travel with the team are obligated, if asked, to work at the UTNIF, the Longhorn Classic, and the Shoot-out Round Robin, and any other events hosted by the UT Forensics Program.
